1. What we collect

• Google account: your name, email address and Google account identifier, when you choose to sign in. Used to authenticate you, to record your purchase, and to rate-limit scraping.
• What you type: percentile, category, gender, home university, minority status and preferences. These are processed to produce your list.
• Payment records: Razorpay order and payment identifiers, and the amount. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details.
• Query logs: timestamps of your requests, retained for rate limiting.

2. What we do not do

We do not sell or share your personal data. We run no advertising or behavioural-tracking SDKs. We do not build profiles of candidates, and we do not publish any individual's data.

3. Accounts and age

Accounts are intended for parents, guardians, or candidates aged 18 or over, and you must confirm this when you sign in. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, processing a child's personal data requires verifiable parental consent; we therefore do not knowingly create accounts for users under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

4. Retention

Query logs are deleted at the end of each admission season. Account and payment records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time by writing to support@ethiccode.in.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. Write to support@ethiccode.in.

6. Source data

Our estimates are computed from seat-allotment results and merit lists published by the State CET Cell. Only aggregate statistics are used in the product; no individual candidate's record is exposed through this service.
